KK Contemporary Jazz Ensemble feat. Jimmy Greene

Kristijan Krajncan Contemporary Jazz Ensemble was formed in 2006 on initiative of all-rounded musician and composer Kristijan Krajncan. The music is his original compositions and it is a fusion of many modern-oriented genres (all the way from blues and classical poly-harmonic structures to drum'n'bass and odd meter music) with emphasis on jazz and it's unique spontaneous improvisation. The group consisted of many great musicians but in this project it is a great pleasure to have some world-famous musicians in the band:

Jimmy Greene - (tenor and soprano saxophone) was recognized as one of the "25 Young Rising Stars in Jazz for the new Millennium" by the Down Beat Magazine in 1999. He had worked and recorded with many jazz legends (Horace Silver, Freddy Hubbard, Kenny Barron, Avishai Cohen...) and had released many records with Criss Cross Records as a leader.

Ambrose Akinmusire - (trumpet) is a winner of both Thelonious Monk Jazz Competition (2007) and Carmine Caruso Jazz Trumpet Solo Competition (2007). Despite of his young age he worked already with many jazz greats (Ron Carter, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson, Steve Coleman...) and continuous to lead his own band touring all over the world.
